Beautiful set of 6 \"Regent Plate\" Fish Knives and Forks, in their original, lockable, canteen case.
The make on the back of the cutlery is \"G & S Co\", which is the forerunner to Garrard\'s, and dates the set around the 1920\'s I believe.
The case is lockable, but there is no key, and it does have a piece of wood missing from the corner by the hinge, but it doesn\'t affect the opening and closing of the case itself.
All the cutlery has been cleaned, using silver polish and silver mitts, by me, and is all in fantastic condition, with minimal signs of wear.
The inside lid of the case is (silk?) lined, and has \"By appointment to the Late King George V. The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd\"
This may well mean it is a commemorative set, which would date it around 1935?
On the back, after \"Regent Plate\" is the number \"21\", which may denote the year of manufacture?
Either way, this set is great looking, in great condition, and the best part of around 90 years old at least.
