Vintage Gibson Archtop Acoustic Guitar Estate Find - Nice Early Guitar For Sale
This is a vintage Archtop Acoustic Guitar recently purchased from an estate in New York. This piece was most likely made by Gibson. I can not find any markings on the guitar, but a faded serial number on the inside. The guitar is probably from the 30's or 40's. VERY solid instrument with a pretty straight neck and no cracks in the neck or head-stock. The back is beautiful and the front has some short age lines. The pick guard has only the mounting frame left. Missing one string. Grat action - approx 2/16th of an inch at the 12 fret. The guitar is rather heavy and very well made. The widest part of the body measures 16". The length of the guitar is 40". The neck is 1 3/4" at the narrowest point and 2 1/4" at the widest point. The length of the neck from nut measures 17 3/4". There is a case (newer), soft shell (optional). Fabulous original Archtop offered with , and buyer will pay shipping.
