Well-constructed, elegant wood jewelry box painted gold. A built-in glass& woodpicture framecovers the hinged lid. In the frame is a portrait of awoman renderedin a classicalstyle reminiscent of Antoine Watteau.

Hinge on lid works well; underside of lid holds a mirror, probably original. Interior of box has a glass-lined base and is divided into three compartments; faded felt between the glass base and a cardboard backing can be removed and replaced easily.For more specifics, see Condition Description above.
