Vintage Harrison Yazzie Navajo Sterling Pilot Mountain Turquoise Bracelet Cuff:
This bracelet was made by the famous Navajo Silversmith, Harrison Yazzie. He made it with five cabochons of Pilot Mountain turquoise which comes from Nevada. Pilot Mountain stones come in almost every color of blue and green. The matrix has mixed patterns of red, brown to black and a variety of spider web. It is a high grade hard turquoise that is perfect for jewelry.
This bracelet has five gorgeous cabochons that are set in silver bezels that have a design on them. Silver rain drops are also interspered among them. The middle cabochon measures 1 1/4" x 5/8", the two on either side measure 1 1/8" x 5/8" and the two on the ends measure slightly smaller. The shank of this bracelet is made up of three silver bands.
It weighs 52.1 grams and is 1 3/8" wide in the center, tapering down to 3/8" on the finished end terminals. The inside of the bracelet measures 5 1/4" with a 1 1/4" opening for a total of 6 1/2". It cannot be adjusted. It is in excellent vintage condition. Since these stones are natural and untreated, the middle stone has some small inclusions. They are not cracks or chips, just some small rough spots.
There is a hallmark of "H" for Harrison Yazzie and "sterling" is also stamped. Thank you and good luck.
