PURCHASED AT BLUE MOUNTAIN ANTIQUE SHOW IN THE ADIRONDAKS 30 YRS. AGO

Up for sale is a vintage circa early 1900\'s BIG TREE TOURIST INN Sign. It is a very unique early automotive/transportation sign. It is hand painted on galvanized metal with a wood frame. It has just the right patina for it\'s age and the back of the piece is right- old wood, old nails and proper construction etc. We acquired it out of a 50 yr. collection where the collector just purchased quality vintage signs. The owner told us he purchased it at Blue Mountain antique show probably 30 years ago. He is a listed artist/sculptor with a great eye as well. We pro pack all of our items- Shrink wrap, multiple layers of bubble wrap, 3M packing tape, fragile stickers and re-inforce boxes with additional layers of cardboard for x-tra strength. We use new packing materials and new boxes when needed. We recycle boxes when they are in good condition. We use most shipping companies Fed EX, USPS, Greyhound, Plycon etc. and we personally blanket wrap deliver within 250 miles of Philly, PA and sometimes beyond. We are basically die hard collectors of Mid century, Danish modern, Industrial/Re-purposed design, vintage advertising, petroliana gas/oil and anything odd or unique. It is our passion and we love what we do. We are always on the hunt! Our primary business is an auto detail/auto body shop which we have owned and operated since 1994. So when we started collecting Mid Century design in 2003 we already had all the tools needed for restoration- repair and refinishing experience, pro spraying equipment/tools, hot steam extractors, cleaners, odor removal treatments etc. We use all pro grade materials like M.L. Campbell, Mohawk and top shelf tung oil for wood. We use R-M Diamont and Dupont auto finishes for metal and fiberglass. We refinish to the original specs of each piece. For example, if a piece was sprayed with a lacquer gloss finish or a hand rubbed tung oil finish that is how we do it. When we refinish we maintain the original integrity of the finish as the creator/designer would have intended it to be when it came off the shrowroom floor. If a piece is in excellent vintage condition we leave it alone. What we don\'t do we send out to our specialists- upholstery, caning/rattan, metal work/welding, specialty wood repair/cabinetry. The craft people we use are all experts in their fields- 20 yrs. plus each. If we would not put a piece in our home we won\'t sell it to you!
