Vintage Handwritten Civil War Letter Speaking Of Dodging Cannon Balls For Sale
Unfortunately, this letter is missing the beginning. There is no date or salutation. The content, however is probably the most interesting of all that we found in the trunk. The author is Wm Knoop. He speaks of dodging cannon balls, eating nothing but crackers and water and sleeping on the bare ground with no blankets while snow fell. Calls the enemy Sesch's and devils. Easy to read, unlike many of the others. Definitely authentic, as it was found amongst all the other dated letters from the same family.
