Vintage Hartmann Tweed Train Case. Hartmann luggage has been in production in the United States since 1877. It was even mentioned in one ofIan Fleming's "James Bond" novels. The high quality of this brand is apparent in this train case. This one is a beige tweed with the same color faux leather trim. There is a band of trim that is attached by rivets and snaps closed on each side covering the two push latches. The latches have locks, but the keys arenot present. The latches are a satin gold color. This train case is approximately 15 inches wide, 8.5 inches deep and 8 inches tall. the interior is lined with a beige nylon material and covered in a protectiveclear vinyl. This case is in excellent vintage condition. There is some scrapes on the trim. Inside there is a white material tag with the words "Hartman luggage"and there was another half of the label that had a placeto write your name and address on it. Someone cut that part out. It does not detract from the case. There is a clear vinyl attachmenton the inside of the lidthat hassnapclosures. I am not sure what it is for. There are many things it can be used for such as attaching a mirror. Thehandlestrap is long for carrying it on your shoulder and has snaps to adjust it for a shorter strap. The interior of thecasehas a segmented elastic band for bottles anda removable, zippered makeup bag. It is held in place by snaps. This is a fabulous piece of luggage.
Terms of Sale Just a note on the basics that we would ask all customers to make sure they are aware of before offerding. 1. NEW USERS (less than one month registered) or users with less than 10 response scores must contact us before offerding; we reserve the right to cancel any offers made without our agreement. 2. Payment is expected within 3 days. 3. WE DO NOT SHIP TO ADDRESSES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. 4. All items are previously owned and of varying ages ( in some cases several hundred years old) this must be taken into account when considering condition, it is most unlikely that any "antique" or vintage item will be in Brand New condition. We will try to accurately describe and photograph all items and note any defects we are aware of. I know a little about a lot, but am not an expert in any field. If a buyer is unsure of any aspect of condition prior to offerding we would ask them not to potentially enter into a purchasing commitment until they are happy. In short "offer when happy you know what you are offerding on" ASK QUESTIONS. 5. Returns are accepted only if we failed to describe the item correctly. Goods must be returned within 7days and in the same condition as sent. We refund original purchase and one way mail.
