This is a vintage woodblock by Katsushika Hokusai(1760-1849) a Japanese ukiyo-e painter and printer. \"The Great Wave Off Kanagawa\" was created in the 1830’s. It has been rematted with acid free material but this original picture came with this backing/ seal indicating a later edition printed by Shima Art on mulberry paper.Mat opening is 14 by 9.25 inches and frame is 16x20 inches.
