This is a vintage menu from the ‘Wo-FatChop Suey’ Restaurant in Honolulu. The menu measures about 15” x 10” open and closedit is 8” x 10”. We are not sure of its exact age, but we are guessing the 1960’s (note the 6 digit phone numbers). It has nice graphics and is in good condition. There are two center fold staplesthat probably held an interior page or insert at one time. On the front cover,there is an unusual ink signature. Restaurant information found on the web indicates - “Mr. Wo Fat, a baker, opened the original establishment1882, and it was one of the first structures erected after the 1900 Chinatownfire, but the present pink building with its pagoda-style roof dates from 1936.During World War II, Wo Hop was famous for issuing free dining coupons toservicemen that were still being honored decades later.” As of 2010, the restaurant is still there.
