Vintage J.w Young Condex Fly Reel 3 1/2" Youngs Durham Ranger Boxed Hardy Bros:
here we havethe"Condex" fly reel & bespoke vintage wooden boxinpristine conditionconsidering the age of them.it's made by J.W Young of redditch England.it's 3 1/2" in diameter & 7/8" wide (same as the popular).the reel is green with a gold shimmer on the cage & inside the back is polished alloy& the spool isthe samegreen with abeautiful image of a Durham Ranger salmon fly.the foot isoriginal polishedalloy the badge is perfect.The box is fantastic as you will never see another the same it's made of a dark hard wood probably teak or mahogany with a glass insert on the lid with the same Durham ranger fly & a hole inside the box for the reel to sit in.please look at the pictures as they form a large part of the description.thisreallyneeds to be seen to be appreciated. so all in all it's a top reel that will outlast most if not all modern reels in this category& would be great to use or would justlook fantastic displayed in a case or just on the mantel.this would make a superb birthday present for someone or a nice little presentation piece"PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS AN OLD REEL 50 - 60 YEARS OLD SO MAY SHOW SOME SIGNS OF AGE".I'm starting thisat a low price& i think that's a fair starting price for something of this qualityany questionsplease ask & i will try to answer.i have to send this via registered post for obvious reasons.
