Vintage Japan Univox Limited Edition Les Paul Jr Junior W/ohsc, Rippin' P-90 :
Up for $1 start sale is this Univox Limited Edition Les Paul Jr. This has been my go to guitar for almost a year now but I'm looking to fund another purchase. It is super clean for its age and includes the original case. These Univox guitars were made sometime in the 1970s. Many others have cheap bolt on necks and are inferior quality. The "limited edition" were higher end, better build quality models. I've also seen a "limited edition" P-bass and I'm sure there are others. This guitar features a mahogany body with a very nice top and back veneer. I'm going to assume in between these veneers is mahogany but its hard to tell. It features a double cutaway and a single p-90 with a volume and tone control. The bridge has probably been replaced but as far as I'm concerned, the "bad ass" style bridge is an upgrade - you can actually intonate this bridge properly. The neck is multi piece mahogany and is technically a bolt on. It has an internal bolt mechanism under the pickguard but there are also traces of glue so I would assume it is also glued. The feel of the whole guitar is that of a set neck.It has a rosewood fretboard with practically no wear, the frets are in great shape and have plenty of life left. No fret buzz or dead spots that I noticed. The tuners look like they've been replaced but the holes have been filled and they look period correct.Currently it is fitted with dunlop strap locks, the parts for which are in the case. The top strap peg is a little loose as the screw was a bit too long, but it's structurally fine. I can't find the original strap pegs but If I do I'll throw them in.Cosmetically there are a few small dings and some playwear but nothing bad. It's got a bunch of pick dust which I neglected to clean. This guitar sounds and plays awesome. The mystery, unmarked P-90 absolutely rips and the neck feels great. It has a slim 60s feel to it. It stays in tune well, cleans up nice, and is overall a solid guitar.I've decided to not falsely advertise the guitar as many others do, but don't let the "bolt-on" and "laminate" terms scare you. You'll love the guitar and I offer a 14 day satisfaction guarantee. Please note I will be away on vacation until a week after the end of the sale so there will be a delay in shipping. Sorry!Ships fully insured Fedex domestically or USPS internationally (international buyers welcome of course, although I cannot ship to South America, Australia, or Eastern Europe for under $300.
