Vintage Keds "pistol Pete" Maravich Sneakers, White/black, 1970's, Size 8:
I'm selling a few select pairs from my collection of vintage and worn sneakers. Many of these styles were discontinued years ago. Most were purchased on over the past 14 years or so, but some I bought in other places.
I've done my best to provide accurate descriptions. Please study the photographs carefully and let me know if you have any questions. As collectors know, it's impossible to predict the long-term wearability of a vintage pair of sneakers. Some will hold up fine to regular wear, while others are more fragile. You should not, of course, expect the same level of wearability as you would get from a brand new pair of sneakers. I'm sorry, but returns will not be accepted. If you have questions, ask!
All items are -- or will be -- cleaned as per standards. Ours is a non-smoking house, but I can't vouch for the original owner (unless it was me).
Here is a great vintage pair of Keds "Pistol Pete" Maravich sneakers in white with black stripes. These are a men's size 8. This classic pair was made in the 1970's. I bought them in their current condition about 20 years ago and never wore them. They are not marked as to where they were made, but I believe that Keds from this era were only made in the USA. Measured on the bottom of the sole, the length is 27.6 cm (10.9 inches), and the width at the ball of the foot is 9.4 cm (3.7 inches).
As you can see from the photographs, these sneakers have light wear. The rubber shows slight yellowing in comparison to the canvas which is still bright white, but the rubber is in good condition. The soles are a little dirty, but that should be easy to clean. These sneakers are 40 years old and in excellent shape considering their age. These sneakers are classics -- they don't make them like this anymore!
