Vintage Ladies Compact, 50s-60s, True Mirror, Holds Powder And Lipstick For Sale
Offering a wonderful little vintage compact found in my elderly mother's estate. I found several compacts among her belongings, and this was my favorite. Mom was quite the gal during WWII, the 50s, and the 60s. This compact could easily date back to WWII, but I can't confirm it.I do not know the maker. I've included a close-up photo of the crest on the front of the compact. Some make recognize it. The compact is fairly substantial, weighing 71 grams/2-1/2 ounces. Dimensions when closed are approximately 2"x3".The case is metal with a creamy white enamel outside. The enamel is has a design etched into it down to the golden color of the metal below, and there is golden crest attached securely in the center. This compact has been around for a long time, and does have minor scratches on the enamel. The push-button closure is in fine working condition. The inside has a mirror on the lid, and it is in very good condition -- no scratches and very true. There is a larger door which opens onto the powder area (powder is long gone), and a small door in the larger door that opens onto a lipstick (lipstick IS there ... deep red color). The original applicator pillow is present. It is in quite good condition for its age, but somewhat dirty from use on the applicator side. Please feel free to write with questions or to request additional photos. I'm happy to refund your money as long as the compact comes back in the same condition as when sent out. Shipping and handling are not refundable.Thank you!
