Vintage Large Kieninger Wall Clock:
I believe this clock was most likely made in the early 1970’s to the mid 1980’s. The case is oak with the door securely attached to the case with hinges. There is a gold colored decorative trim around the acrylic in the door. The acrylic is in good condition. The back mirror has some chips and cracks as shown but they are pretty minor.
The clock features two heavy weights with brass lacquer shells that run the clock. There are some bumps and bruises on the weights that are strictly cosmetic.
The clock has a beautiful clear acrylic door and clock face, both in a rectangular shape. The hands look to be original and are matching. The case has wear including some chips, dints and scrapes in the wood, most especially on the bottom back where they really don’t show. The clock comes with it’s winding key. The magnetic latch for the front door is in place and operating.
This clock is in good running and striking condition and keeps good time (minor tweaking may be needed to get perfect time). The clock has a nice tone on the hour and half hour. The movement is a Kieninger which is made in Germany as shown in 2 photos.
The clock is about 44.5" tall, 14.5" across, and 7-5/8" deep. The clock face measures about 8-3/4” by 12”. Please message me if you have any questions or need additional photos.
This clock is too large and heavy to pack and ship safely so it is available for pick up only.
This clock is unusual and would make a great addition to your home or your collection or for your shop. .
