Vintage Le Golliwogg Devigny Perfume Bottle For Sale
This is a figural Le Golliwogg DeVigny perfume bottle made in the 1920s. It stands about 3.25 inches tall. The head and the body of the golly is glass; the stopper is metal and the hair is apparently seal fur. The front label is a bit discolored by time but you can still make out the writing. On the very bottom is a label saying "John Wanamaker 6.75 Philadelphia." This is apparently where this golly was purchased, and Wanamaker's was the first-ever department store in Philly. So even a bit more history attached to this item! There is black string attached around the neck and tucked in the front label. An aroma of the perfume this bottle once contained still lingers. This is really a great piece! Happy offerding!
