Vintage Lenci Boudoir Lady Doll From 1931 27" For SaleHi, Here is a vintage Lenci boudoir doll who was made in Italy and was shown in the 1931 Lenci catalog. She is made of cloth and wool felt measuring about 27" tall with joints at her hips and knees so that she sits with her guitar, which is a replacement that is newly made of wood, inspired by photos of her original. She also has replaced earrings, a bracelet, and her wooden stool that she sits on,but otherwise she is all original. Her body, hands, face , hair and clothing are all in nice condition. This doll's dress is made of cotton organdy with felt dots attached, showing rows of ruffles in a trained skirt in back. It has some previous reinforcements underneath the skirt, and has been cold water soaked , shows age, but is still very attractive on her, I absolutely love her! She also has her original undies, organdy pantalets and petticoat with silk or rayon knit stockings. Her nose has one small pinhole, and her hair is long in braids which can wrap up over her head or just lay down. Photos show her hair both ways, and she has a metal comb or pin on one side with her original felt rose decorations and her black fringed shawl at her neckline. Her shoes are black leather. Please ask me questions, I am not an expert, I just really love these dolls, but will do my best to answer anything I can. The last picture is a copy of the 1931 Lenci catalog picture where she was originally sold. US shipping would be $25.00 insured. Also I could do a 30 day layaway on her with half payment at the end of the sale and the remainder within 30 days. Thank you for looking...MargieOn Jul-21-13 at 17:41:56 PDT, seller added the following information:
Hi, I am unable to add a photo of this, but I neglected to mention that she has part of a paper Lenci tag attached to her, it says Lenci and DI E. Scavini 577. It says more , but is torn. It is attached to her undies on a goldish thread, hanging from her petticoat waist. If anyone would like to see it, I could email a photo of it, but I would need your email address. Thank you sincerely, Margie
