Vintage Llewellyn Purse 1950s Tortoise Lucite Box Bag Needs Repair :

authentic 1950\'s box bag
made by Llewellyn for Lewsid Jewel N.Y.C.
tortoise shell lucite with their signature gold tone hardware & lucite & gold tone clasp
inside is fully lined in shiny dark brown grosgrain fabric embossed with the designer information
inside has 2 compartments & has one open pocket on underside of lid
bottom has 4 rounded lucite feet

4 1/2\" wide at side
1 1/2\" deep
handle drop 4 1/4\"

Condition: There are no chips or cracks, the color is bright, & it is clean inside & out. BUT**** it has warped from living in a hot dry climate. The lid no longer sits squarely causing gaps at the back corners & preventing the clasp from closing. I have been told that this can be fixed by heating the lucite but I can\'t find any place in Santa Fe willing to attempt it. It cannot be carried as is because the lid will open when you lift it by the handle. If you cannot repair it or find someone who can, you will have a really nice vintage jewelry box but not a functional purse.
