These are gorgeous hand carved sterling silver Lois Hill drop dangle earrings. They fall 21/4\" from the ear\" including the hook. Without the hook they are still 1 6/8\" long. The width is 1/4\" and the weight is a substantial 5 grams. These are stamped .925 for sterling silver. They are approximately 4mm. thick, so have dimension and a full, somewhat tubular look, rather than flat. The scroll work is classical Lois Hill with some oxidizing to emphasize the hand carved designs. The hooks are also sterling silver and securely attach to the dangle earring from a skillfully soldered loop, for added security and a professional, polished look. If you are familiar with Lois Hill, then you know the quality of these earrings. Her name really does sell itself because it is 100 percent quality in materials, workmanship, and design. The look is feminine and classy and will literally go with everything - nice enough for the dressiest evening wear or for your favorite jeans. They also go with everything Lois Hill - bracelets, necklaces, watch (if you can find one), etc. The more the better! This design is vintage and not made anymore, so is difficult to find. I purchased from Nordstrom when they still carried Lois Hill in their stores - they have been worn only a handful of times and been stored away. They deserve to come out and shine!
