My knowledge is limited at best and relay on the pictures as the greater part of the description allowing the more knowledable to draw on their personal expertise.

I do not know if the wood is actually teak, but assume so due to the retro style of the era. The cream color shade section is some sort of hard plastic that has some age discoloration. With close inspection thereare some scratches to the shades, nothing considered distracting, yet mentioned for accuracy.

The lamp measures approx....

16" tall

14"-15" in diameter

Weighing....11 lbs. packed in a 16" x 18" x 17" box.

It is difficult to get the actual diameter of this lamp, yet believe my estimate to be close. The electrical cord with chain is also estimated a bit shorter. It is a very long cord. I had to show the lamp lit off the ceiling hook, as the color of the room (w/ceiling hook)affected the true lighting display.

This lamp was purchased at an Estate sale of an elderly man who's wife had passed away. He made no attempt to hide the fact he still smokes, as hewas selling their lifelong belongings to move in with family members.

I have had the lamp hanging in the garage forseveral months to make sure it gets a good airing out, for those who may be sensitive. May need to be washed prior to hanging. I made no attempt to clean the lamp, as I tend to have mishaps. All the wood & plasticpieces show no signs of damage. The lamp is considered to be in very good vintage condition, with only the shade discolorationand minorscratchespreventing an excellent rating on my part.

A charming retroaddition to any room.

• research shows a majority of sellers are now listing with a high "buy it now" price. I prefer to keep the original spirit of by allowing the buyers to determine the actual value.

• PLEASE NOTE.... If SENSITIVE to Cigarette SMOKE, I'm sorry to say both my husband & I suffer with this nasty habit. Even though I try very hard to protect items, I sometimes miss what others might find offensive. Some items may need a little more airing out.

• I search Estate & garage sales weekly for items of possible interest, or simply fun things to collect. PRE-OWNED items may need to be washed, or require a bit more detailed cleaning.

PLEASE NOTE.... The 14" to 15" Diameter estimate is actually the WIDTH of the lamp, NOT the diameter. I have already packed the lamp, yet believe the DIAMETER would fall somewhere around the 45" to 50" range. Hopefully one had already figured out this lamp could not be as skinny as a 15" diameter would make it by viewing the pictures. I just realized I used the INCORRECT WORD for measurements. The correct estimate is 14" to 15" WIDE. I aplogize, I don't know what I was thinking. Please, please disregard the word diameter in the description. THIS LAMP IS approx. 15" WIDE
