VINTAGE JACK AND JILL MAGAZINE-COMPLETE

May 1947, wrap cover by Evelyn Keyser.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Centerspread titled "Other Pictures By Grant Wood" which shows 4 studies (in color) of vegetables, fruits, and flowers--not the usual motifs for Grant Wood. Before the centerfold is an article about Grant Wood on pages 28-32. After page 32, pages 29-32 are repeated--printing/binding error. Pages 37-40 are also repeated after the centerspread. The rest of the magazine is fine--no missing pages. Things to Make For An Airport w/helicopter pattern. George Was A Dragon story.

Puzzles have been completed in pencil. No address label on covers. Covers have a light background and now show age toning and some foxing, particularly along the bottom of the front and up the right edge.

GENERAL CONDITION: Expect to see normal wear from age and usage, including wear to spine, thumbing inside and out, puzzles/activities completed, perhaps some page or cover creases, and usually an old-paper odor. Please take these general conditions into account in addition to condition description specific to this particularJack and Jill magazine asnoted above. All in all quite good condition for a 66-year-old children's magazine.

COMINGATTRACTIONS:Iam currently listing all sorts of Victorian and vintage (up to around 1960s)greeting cards, trade cards, holiday cards, die cuts, magazines (mostly for children and juveniles), along witha number of vintage "Antiques" magazines from the 1930s to 1980s,and all sorts ofotherpaper. One of my special areas of interest is ephemera, to includeold cards, especially valentines, and I have a quite a few ephemera listings already in my store and at sale. This week, and in the weeks to follow,I shall be adding to this ephemera inventory, so please check out my sales and my ever-growing supply of cards, both used and unused (some with envelopes) currently on offer in my store.

MYSTORE:Please visit my store:DeVito's Books-TV Closeout Jewelry (not much jewelry left). I stock all sorts of antique and vintage items (and some new ones)found here and there around New England over the past four decades. I never know what I'll be unearthing and listing next, so please bookmark my store, make me a favorite seller and receive automatic updates when new items are added. Ipost new listings every week and specialize in antique/vintage, used/unused greeting cards, including Victorian valentines, lots of other ephemera, vintage teen and children's magazines and books, vintage holiday items, new old store stock (NOS) and a few brand new items.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE: Depending on sales volume, I ship once or twice a week, Wednesday and Friday or Saturday. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and around Valentine's Day, I ship more often. Please disregard the 10-business-day shipping estimate. made me choose one. Normally I ship between 2-to-4 days after payment posts. If it is going to be longer than that, I shall e-mail you.

POSTAGE & HANDLING: P&H includes exact postage (within one or two ounces to allow for scale variation) plus a nominal handling fee to help with the expenses of doing business with /PayPal.Paper itemswill be protected with layers of packing, including stiffcardboard and will ship either First Class Letter w/rigidity fee (if 3 ounces or under and able to fit in a small envelope) or First Class Package if toolarge or over 3 ounces). If multiple items are purchased and total weight is over 13 ounces, package will ship Priority.

COMBO SHIPPING: I will be happy to combo ship, but must charge a modest handling fee (typically between75 cents to $1.00each forlightweight items andup to $1.50 each for heavy items suchas magazines and books added to the package). doesn't offer a fee discount on combo purchases and treats each item as a separate order with the full listing and FVF fees applied, so I mustincorporate some of those expenses within the total price of the item.If you are purchasing more than one item from me, please wait for a revised invoice, as the automatic one that sends shows full shipping foreach item, and not the discount combo pricing that I offer.

Timely payment is expected. If there will be a delay, please email to let me know.

Returns are expensive and it is disappointing for the buyer to pay shipping both ways and end up with nothing, so please ask if you are unsure about anything in my listing. I want you to be happy with your purchase. There are hundreds of thousands of sellers out there and I am pleased that you have chosen to shop with me. Welcome to my store and sales. There is nothing I like better than repeat customers.

I have been an antiques, books, ephemera and collectibles dealer since 1984, and have been selling on since 1998. Please visit my store DeVito\'s Books-TV Closeout Jewelry for a wide variety of early and vintage items in many different categories. My specialties are Victorian and vintage valentines, postcards, kids\' and juvenile books, and ephemera (paper) items. I am always having a store sale, so please stop by and browse.

Feel free to e-mail me any questions you might have.
