A vintage (early to mid 20-th century) bakelite cheroot holder measuring about 5\" long. Nicely carved horse with dog. Tip is amber-colored bakelite. Removable mouthpiece is signed \"Tobacco-Yello Pat No. 1780389. The patent dates to 1930. I\'m not sure what the body of the piece is made of--it could also be Bakelite made to look like Meerschaum. Well-used with a nice patina. Thank you for your interest in our sales!
