Vintage Meriden Britannia Co. Silverplated Syrup Pitcher, 8 1/8\"

Wonderful old syrup pitcher in fair condition due tosome silverplate loss, particularly on the handle, however, the body of the pitcher is not bad. The finial on the top is of an Egyptian woman and the figurehead on the handle is also of a woman. The pitcher has an inner spout to prevent dripping (see picture); there is a crack in the lid (see picture). The hallmark and pattern number 187 are stamped on the bottom of the pedestal along with \"Patented Oct .24, 1865. Beneath that it is stamped \"July 1, 1873\". A fun, functional piece of Victorian memorabilia!
