The soft brushed feel material on the seatis clean and solid with no rips or tears and appears to be a replacement seat because you can see places underneath where the former seat was nailed in and two faded spots where the old seat was. There are some scuffs on the wood anda chip on the right handle where your hands would rest...see photo\'s.. signs of use appropriate to an item of this age and could be touched up.
It folds up like a camp style chair...great piece if you have a small space and can bring it out when you need it.
