Up for offer is this beautiful vintage Montblanc Rollerball Meisterstukck Solitarie pen. It has a gold-plated ring and clip. It is precious black resin and the cap has the white Montblanc starand embossed Montblanc lettering. It comes with the original box and instructions. It is dated 1995. It does have the montblanc refill, which is marked \"Rollerball\". I believe it is running out of ink, as it skips when writing. The pen is in excellent used condition with a few minor marks, barely noticeable. It has the original box (marked made in Holland) with Service Guide. It isin excellent condition. I have been reading about the counterfeit Montblanc pens and from what I have read mine meets all the requirements of a genuine pen, right down to the serial number, which on mine is EH2331190(see pic #11)andis etched on the ring of the gold clip. Also, \"Germany\" is engraved on the ring as well. The edges of the white star are exactly fitted to the cap(see pic #12).
I have done some research online and the following is what I found:
1. Service Guide
New Mont Blanc pens are accompanied by a service guide. The exact copy may vary slightly e.g. Some guides do not have the\"writing instruments\"line, but all will feature the logo. Mine does have the logo, but no \"writing instruments\". Mine is not new but is dated 1995.2.Guarantee Certificate
Inside the service guide is a guarantee certificate. Check that any details stamped match those on the receipt. ***(Mine is not stamped)****3. Serial Number
Some Mont Blanc pens feature a serial number usually located engraved onto a band. Check that it matches any serial numbers detailed on the box or ***guarantee certificate***(see below). The engraving will have clean edges and be aligned perfectly along the band.4.\"Made in...\" Engraving
Some Mont Blanc pens will also feature a country of origin name engraved into a band.5. Star Logo
The cap top of Mont Blanc pens almost always features the Mont Blanc star logo. The edges will be exactly fitted to the cap.***I spoke to a representative at Mont Blanc (800-995-4810) & was informed that some of the service Guides weren\'t stamped because some of the stock could have been bought out by another dealer and didn\'t require it to be stamped at time of purchase****
