Attention collectors, show exhibitors! This is a beautiful stainless steel mullen sweetwater mouth bit in vintage pre-owned condition with beautifully engraved Sterling Silver overlay cutter shanks made by Norm and Chet Vogt. This is determined by the Star Vogt mark which was used by Vogt Silversmiths from 1971 to 1989 when Chet and Norm Vogt were running the business. The close up photos show the makers mark which is a Star and the word \"Vogt\". There is a small indentation (dent) as shown in the photos in the center of the right side concho. There is also a deep scratch on the right shank as shown in the photos about one inch above the rein ring.

This is a very well made bit with a 5/16\" diameter x 5 inch mullen mouthpiece with copper inlaid on the back side of the bit for taste and salivation. The 5-1/8 by 1/2 inch diameter mullen mouthpiece is sweet iron and has some light rusting as is typical of sweet iron after use. The total shank length is 7-1/2 inches and the purchase is 2-1/2 inches for a 3 to 1 leverage ratio and weighs in at a exactly one pound. This stunning bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
