This is a vintage Full Size style violin / fiddle. The label is hard to read it says Antonius Stradivarius. The back is two piece and measures 14 inches.It may need some set up to be in tip top shape , but it plays as is . The violin has been revarnished , and is a very interesting shaded antiqued look .It has the usual nicks and scratches that come with 75 years.The violin has no open cracks , but two wing cracks that have been repaired. The pegs are ebony and hold but will need to be replaced. The varnish is rough but looks cool. It will make someone a good fiddle when it is set up a little better , ie new strings, bridge etc. It is sold as is for a repairman or a collector. It has a wittner style tailpiece. Its worst problems are it has an amaturely cut nut, and the fingerboard has been put on poorly, also the back of the neck is roughly varnished. It should make a good old time fiddle.
