Item: (1) Vintage Photo Postcard of the D. & R.G.W. (Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad) Steam Locomotive, traveling Eastbound on it\'s way through Avena, Colorado on March 7, 1948.

There is a stamp for R.H. Kindig Photo on the retro.

The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, often shortened to Rio Grande or D&RGW, formerly the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, was an American Class I railroad company. It served mainly as a transcontinental bridge line between Denver, and Salt Lake City, Utah. The Rio Grande was also a major origin of coal and mineral traffic.
