Best offer means just that.The fact that I have a buy it now price, doesn\'t mean I won\'t settle forless.

I contacted the FredericWeinberg.com website and sent them a seriesof pictures of this bird cage. Theyreplied to my E-mail and phone call with the following statement, and I quote:

“The bird cage is definitely Weinberg. We have never come across anyother company doing something similar. The trays are often missing so it isgood it is there.”

There are other bird cageimages on the internet made by Frederic Weinberg. The latch, removable pan and scroll work onthe front of this cage are the same on some of his other works.

I will provide all correspondence of my E-mails to and from the Frederic Weinberg website ifrequested.

Now to the bird cage:

It stands 66” tall from the floor to the top of the spire. The main body is 13-1/2” in diameter and thescrolled top is 16-1/2” in diameter.

The top just sits on the body.There are no clamps or screws to hold it in place. The top spire also just “sits” in place.

The cage has some rust. It appearsthat the original color of the cage was white.It was repainted pink at some point and may have been done at themanufacturing plant; now much of the pink paint is chipping or has been chippedoff.

The body is a slightly out of round and the top is slightly warped.

The door does open and close.

One of the of the metal scroll pieces on the top, has broken away fromthe steel ring and needs to be reattached.Epoxy glue could work to hold it in place.

The removable tray in the bottom is very tight when in place. I used a small wood dowel and a rubber hammerto tap it free. The cage will be shipped with the removable tray in place.

It also comes with 3 bird perches that I believe to be original to thecage, but I am not sure.

There are only 3 legs on this cage.A piece of wood has been glued in place so the cage standsproperly. It is still a little wobblyeven with the wood leg.

It could be used indoors or outdoors!With or without birds! Anythingcould be displayed in this cage!

It could be stripped and repainted or left as it is, you decide.

Shipping: This bird cage is so tall it will be shipped in 2separate boxes! I can’t find a singlebox to fit it in to so I have no choice but to ship it in 2 separate boxes.

The top will be shipped in one box and the body will be shipped in a secondbox.

If I charge too much on the shipping, a refund will be made by directdeposit into the winners PayPal account.

Please consider the shipping cost before offerding. Shipping will not be CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!

If the buyer lives in the Waukesha area of Wisconsin, it could be pickedup locally to save the shipping charges.

Please Blow Up the pictures and review them closely as they bestdescribe the condition of this item.
