Vintage Oval Peter Rabbit On Parade Tindeco Candy Container Tin W/ Handle Easter For Sale
This is a charming old TINDECO Easter candy container that I believe is from the 1930s. The graphics are absolutely wonderful! It is the HTF oval design and is in excellent overall condition. On the top It features MrPeter Rabbit and his friends, Teddie and Betty Bunny, all dressed up in their Easter finery and marching in a parade. Peter plays a large drum while Teddie has his Uncle Sam hat in one handanda pennant in he other. Betty carries a parasol and a balloon.!Around the edge in quite a procession are Betty Bunny, Teddie Bunny, Henry Hop Frog, Happy Jack Squirrel, Emily Sparrow, Waldo Wren, Unc. Bily Possum, Tommy Turtle, Reddy Fox, Jimmy Coon, Peter Rabbit, Chess Cottontail, and Mrs Peter Rabbit. Their detailed outfits and accessories are amazing! You will smile just looking at this little tin!It measures about 4 1/2" long and 2 3/4" high excluding the swinging handle. Ithas minimum paint loss compared to others of these old Peter rabbit tins I have seen, and it has no dents.The gold colored metalbottom and interiorhave all the scratches and discoloorationusually seen from moving these tins about and putting things in them for storage over the years. There is residue from an old price sticker or tag on the bottom. It is embossed TINDECO on the bottom. The paint is worn off in spots around the edge from where the swing handle was lowered ande raised.. Please zoom in on pictures to see just how exceptionallynice this old tin is.
