Vintage Painted Doll Furniture - Cottage Bureau And Bedstead For Sale

This charming set of Doll's furniture shows signs of having been lovingly played with by several generations of little girls. The attention to detail is remarkable and it almost seems as if it might have been a salesmen's sample. But then, the drawers are made of cigar boxes which suggests that grandpa may have made it. The details are bothhand-painted and applied transfers--some of which show signs of wear. The handles on the dresser drawers are milk glass and the mirror has some silver loss. Both pieces are entirely made of wood. The bed slats are missing but could be easily replaced. At some point in time, it appears as if the wooden top of the mirror has been glued back on. Please refer to the pictures for other condition issues.

The bureau is 22" tall, 6" deep and 12" across. The bed is23 " X 14" and the headboard is 17" tall. The bed conveniently and easily disassembles for shipping. Just a matter of putting four screws in place to reassemble.
