Beautiful pair of lamps that include the original shades. Lamps are in great condition for their age with no wear of tears on the shades which are lined on the inside and have nylon ribbons running down like liquid gold. There are about 1000 strands of nylon making up these beautiful shades. I don\'t know a lot about them other than I bought them from an estate sale and the brother who sister had passed several years ago and he is six years younger than her. Said all he knows is she has had them as long as he can remember and she was in her 80s when she passed. They stand 48 inches tall with the shades and are very heavy. The round globe is glass with applied applique of leaves they are just so gorgeous and probably one of a kind pair. The only flaw I seen was there is a crack on one square base of the black marble but is still intact. From a smoke and pet free home . I only ship once a week on all items sold and will send you invoice. I haven\'t done this in awhile but I am down sizing my home as I am getting older myself. You won\'t find a pair of lamps this old or this nice I don\'t think anywhere and like I said I don\'t have a lot of information on them so with these and all my other items I am giving you the best descriptions of each item.
