Vintage Paper Doll \"pedalpusher outfit\" (Used, carefully saved, good cond\'n):

Among several thousand examples of paper ephemera I have acquired in the past few decades are a number of well-preserved paper dresses and \"outfits\" for paper dolls like those popular with little girls in the middle years of the 20th century. I would estimate this outfit -- a\"pedalpusher\" outfit--to date back to perhaps the 1940\'s or perhaps the1950\'s although it might be a little older. (Your guess would be at least as good as mine.)
No accompanying paper doll. I am listing theoutfit alone. Interesting memorabilia item in good condition. I can well imagine that the little girl who played with thisdoll costumeand then saved it carefully, may now well be a young grandmother, probably notas old as I am, however(I was born in the 1930\'s.)
Pedalpusher outfitfor a Paper Doll
Approximately6 1/2 inches tall. Great condition, still has probablyall its tabs. Well-preserved rich colors. Actual colors are brighter than they appear in my photo.Stunning outfit. I can see how this one would delight a little girl having innocent fun playing inside on a rainy day, before Barbie dolls became available.
A good item for crafts projects done by a creative person. One thought is that this costume, still in very good, well-preserved condition, might be placed in a frame and hung on a wall as an unusual but very attractive display, and certainly a great conversation piece.
As my time and health permit, I will list other similar items, paper costumes, yes, and also a variety of other ephemera, each capturing a small view of one aspect or another of American life in the 20th (and in some cases the 19th) century.
