This is a wonderful vintage studio photo of young boy in WWI U. S. Army uniform in El Paso, Texas from around 1919. The photo shows the seated boy in a high collar tunic, riding britches, leggings and a peaked hat with crossed infantry rifle insignia. The sepia photo is striking. It is signed by the photographer, Westry Deane of El Paso sand dated -19. Tin that year the Mexican Revolution was still underway and there was a large contingent of U.S. Army troops at El Paso’s Fort Bliss to keep the peace on the border. The photo measures 5 3/4 inches wide by 10 inches high. It is still in the original photographer’s embossed folder. Light creasing and scuffing to the folder, thus, good condition.
