I have a pair of one owner Pioneer HPM 1500's for sale. These are a rare gem and in excellent condition. They are all original, except for one replaced driver. The driver is an exact match but has a little different metal finish. I will include the original that failed. The foam surrounds are original and in excellent working condition. They do not need to be replaced. I have tested these for several weeks on a Pioneer SX-1980 and the sound is amazing! They are crisp and clear and the bass is deep and refined. I have had several other HPM models in the past and none of them even come close to the sound these produce. They come with all four original grilles, glass tops and stands. I think they are in great condition for how old they are. Please check out the pics and decide for yourself. Although these are in perfect working condition, They will be sold AS-IS. I have no control once they leave my hands and will be tough to pack. I pack with extreme care and will more than go the distance to make sure they don't get damaged in transit. I have no idea what these are going to cost to ship and won't until they are fully packed and I have been charged. The Super tweeters and glass will make this a little more difficult. I will only charge for cost of material and shipping fee. I will ship FedEx. I know the key is how I pack them and will do so like the Samsonite ape is going to have a go at them. The Pioneer HPM 150 (HPM 1500 in Europe) is one of the famous vintage speakers out there and the top of the HPM series. The acronym stood initially inconsistently for “high-polymer-mylar / film”, later it was consistently stated as “High Polymer Molecular”, in particular in the US during the 80s. This heavy 4-way bass-reflex speaker has been sold from 1977 to 1980 . Pioneer´s HPM 1500 was not a usual high-end speaker, but it rather a milestone in speaker technology because of two changes. It introduced on the one hand the use of new materials (carbon fiber) for speaker cones and on the other hand the innovative “high polymer molecular film super tweeter”.
Compared to the HPM 100, Pioneer´s standard HPM speaker, the bigger HPM 1500 is of significantly higher quality, with a bigger woofer (15 ¾ inch) and the typical omnidirectional super-tweeter, which can be found on top of each speaker.

SHIPPING- The speakers are currently 15-3/8W x 26-3/8H x 15-1/2 deep. They weigh 60 Lbs. a piece. I would imagine they will be more in the 80+ range a piece or 160 lbs. total when finished and the boxes I come up will determine the final size and weight. These are not normal box speakers and will require special care to make it safe. I have sent several high end vintage receivers and speakers with zero issues. I will not skimp or take the easy route. That being said,I will not know the final numbers until they are finished. I hope this helps. offer away! SHIPPING- Please double whatever the shipping calculator says. I put in 80Lbs. for one. Anything over 150 can only be shipped freight. I will be shipping UPS or FEDEX which will be cheaper. They will be in separate boxes of around 80LBS. a piece. The setup doesn't let you separate the total weight or divide it. I won't charge any more than it cost me and will use a lot of time, care and material to insure they make it to you. Thank you.
