Offered for your consideration is this pre-World War II vintage Price Kensington English pedestal teapot featuring the Gaudy Welsh colors of orange, cobalt blue and gold. The teapot is a little over 9\" wide from spout tip to handle edge, 5½\" in diameter at the widest part of the bowl and stands 7\" tall with the lid. The pedestal base is 3½\" x 3¼\". The opening has a windscreen like appearance, with a wide brim in solid cobalt blue with gold trim at the scalloped edge. There is additional gold trim on the sculptural handle, around the spout opening and at the base in addition to the all the gold mixed in with the orange and cobalt blue of the main pattern. There is crazing throughout the piece, at its most noticeable and unattractive on the underside of the base which, thankfully, doesn\'t show unless you turn the teapot upside down, and on the inner portion of the lid. There are no chips or cracks and no noticeable signs of use or wear to the patterns or the gold trim. A very handsome teapot.
