Vintage Queensland Australia Railways brake van (caboose) lantern probably 1950s. Unusual unit with electrical fixture and kerosene fixture as backup when electrical circuits failed. Marked“Sherwoods” inside. These lanterns were made by Queensland Railways in its own shops. Red and clear panels, very good condition, hinged door. Marked QR (Queensland Railways) with a vertical arrow between the two letters.
