Up for sale is a vintage microphone we purchased in the late 80's. We understand it was being used as a stage prop in Milwaukee. While it appears to be an RCA 4-AA-1, there are three obvious differences. 1) The back is not a separate piece, so no amplifier unit is inside. 2) There is no ID plate on the top. 3) While the condenser unit fits tightly in place, there are no securing screws. The finish had had obvious touch-ups (if the bronze bottom color is correct, then all of the black is not original). The 1-A stand is labelled "F9". No one we have shown this to is an expert in vintage mikes, so opinions vary and may totally off base. It has been suggested that this was either a sales display or perhaps a 4-AX extension microphone meant to be attached to a remote amplifier. Should anyone have specific info on this unit, we will add your comments. We do not have a way to test this microphone, so it is being sold "as-is". We describe items to the best of
our ability. Because condition of items is a personal opinion, please be sure
to ask about the item. If something is unclear, or you have a question on an
item, please email us and ask about the item before offerding. Many of our
items come from estates. By vintage we mean that the item is over 25 years old,
and as far as we know, no longer produced. Be sure to ask before offerding if you
want more clarification.
