This is a used Randall made #11 Alaskan Skinner model knife that we\'ve owned and used. It has a 4 1/2\" carbon steel blade of 1/4\" stock that is very sharp and has been sharpened. The top of the blade, in front of the solid brass single hilt, is notched for thumb placement and blade control when fine cutting is called for. The 4 1/2\" carbon steel blade is probabIy the perfect blade for skinning, but the weight, shape, size and feel of this knife will find you using it for many camp chores and possibly on your belt as an everyday carry (EDC) knife...I like a lot of things about it. The black micarta handle, right behind the solid brass single hilt is an great choice for a field knife. It has subtle right-handed finger grips cut in that are really comfortable in your hand and user friendly. They are not nearly as aggressive as the ones Randall putts on their fighting knife handles. These even feel good using the knife in your left hand. The knife has been used and sharpened, but there is no abuse to blade, hilt or handle and it\'s in Excellent overall condition...it will outlive the using requirements of anyone who gets it.
The knife is 9 1/4\" long, comes in it\'s original leather sheath with unused sharpening stone and has years of good service left in it. We are trusted sellers--- have used and sold many, many Randall knives over the years --- you won\'t be disappointed.
