Vintage Retro 1960s 1970s Spun Fibreglass Rocket Lamp - Pale Shade - Teak Legs For Sale
Vintage 1960s Spun Fibre Glass Rocket Lamp Here we have for sale a lovely example of the iconic 1960s fibreglass 'rocket lamp' in the highly sought after, rarer, pale beige coloured shade. It is in excellent working order and has been overhauled by our in house electrician, who has rewired it with wiring that conforms to modern safety standards, but is still in keeping with the retro look. Similarly, he has replaced the inside fittings with replacement bayonet fittings similar to the originals but again, conforming to modern standards. He has also added two small 'stops' either side of where the cable enters the lamp so that it cannot be pulled out inadvertently and is therefore much safer (these can easily be removed if required). As you can see from the last picture, the lamp lights with two standard lightbulbs, facing in different directions, to produce the double lighting effect. With the pale fibreglass shade, you can use coloured bulbs to create different lighting effects. The shade is in excellent condition, and the teak wooden legs are also original, secure and in good order - only essential electrical fittings have been replaced. It has been fully PAT tested by a certified electrician. The lamp stands 44 inches high, with the shade 30 inches. We are happy to ship anywhere in the UK mainland for £12, a little more to outlying areas. It is possible to ship overseas, but due to the dimensions of the lamp, we anticipate it to be expensive - and you should also bear in mind that it is wired for a 240V system and takes bayonet type bulbs. Any questions, please ask.

Due to Royal Mail's new weight and sizing restrictions, we will send your item by one of a number of methods - please check the listing for details. Small Parcels and Large Letters will continue to be sent via Royal Mail. Medium Parcels (over 8cm in thickness) will be sent by 2-3 day courier to keep costs down, as the new prices mean that postage costs have more than doubled (most parcels previously £2.70 now cost £5.65!)
Pleasedo not mark us down in your ratings for postage cost - we do not make any money on postage and what you have paid is - to within a few pence - what it has actually cost to post your item. It only takes 3 bad ratings in a year for us to lose our Top Seller status.
We reserve the right to ask for extra postage costs for certain UK postcodes, if not using Royal Mail - i.e. courier charges to offshore islands or Northern Ireland cost us extra.
