This is a beautiful, very rare hand-painted portrait of a woman in a bronze gilded filigree picture frame with a Reuge music box inside. It is in wonderful condition save for some wear on the velvet back. It plays a beautiful song which I recognize but do not know the name at this time. It has an easel-type stand on back and a bronze hook for hanging. The portrait (which may be on porcelain - I haven\'t taken off the back) is under glass and is signed but once again I can not make out the name (see photos). The little white spots seen on portrait are just dust on the glass not on the portrait itself. I believe this is from mid 1900\'s. It is quite unique and beautiful on many levels. A great piece of portraiture, a wonderful music box and a beautifully crafted frame make this very special!
