A fine landscape watercolorist Arthur Claude Strachan wasborn in 1865, in Edinburgh, Scotland.He is now best known for his sentimental pictures of flower-wreathed cottagesand village scenes. The painter studied art in Liverpooland later traveled throughout Great Britainpainting the country landscapes.
The artist lived in Warwick,Evesham, New Brighton, Glasgow,Edinburgh,London,North Wales and Minehead. Between 1885-1929 he exhibitedin London and in the province andalso showed four works at the Royal Academy.
