This is a vintage Sun chrome tachometer mounting cup in the original box. The model number is NB-3. This cup is known as the \"Pinch Cup\" since the housing is held to the gauge by tighting a machine screw and nut on the bottom of the cup which \"pinches\" the cup onto the gauge. The Sun chrome pinch cup was used by GM on 61-62 Impalas and possibly some Chevy and GMC pickups. This is also the correct cup for all Sun \"RC\" tachometer models and others. This is a very hard to find original cup.
This chrome pinch cup and mounting bracket are in good original condition as shown. The chrome shines well with good reflection wear and pitting There are no dings or dents. The mounting bracket is the flat style for mounting on/under the dash or on any other flat surface. I would also swap the flat bracket for a curved style for mounting on a steering column if you ask.
