Tweed Guitar Or Harp Amp: Sears 'silvertone Crest' Part Dated 1934-35 Near Mint For SaleUp for sale is a gorgeous tweed amp, parts dated by the previous owner at 1934-35. I have a page from the 1941 Sears catalog (will be included) that describes this as a Sears 'Silvertone Crest' amplifier, model 12K0238. It features:
12" Jensen RS Series 'Electro Dynamic' field coil speaker (pristine condition)
(2)6V6 output watts. The caps in both the power supply and coupling have been replaced. The glass is new (I can send the glass that was originally in there when I purchased it) and a 3 prong plug/power cord has been added for safety. Let the photos do the talking, but please feel free to ask questions. She is exceptionally clean, just that very slight tear on the bottom corner featured in the photo. With respect to full disclosure, there is a bit of intermittent scratchiness/crackle. My amp tech has not had a chance to address this specific issue as he is now on the road for a bit. He says he believes it to be just a plate resistor that needs to be changed out. All sales final due to vintage of this piece.I have done my best to describe this amp as accurately as possible. I am happy to answer questions and send additional photos upon request. Please ask questions before offerding and only offer if you plan on paying! All sales final. Payment must be received within 3 days. Paypal is required for all purchases.FREE shipping via UPS Ground in the lower 48 of the USA.
