This wood mantel clock is a Lynton 2-E Model No. E531-001. The clock is not working when I plug it in, I don't know if there is some other trick to making it work other than plugging in. There is some wear on this rare beauty, the longer needle is slightly bent, but with some gentle loving care and to a clock enthusiast, this can be restored to it's natural beauty.It stands about 8 3/8" tall by 16 1/2" long with a base width of 4". It has a glass face that opens with a Seth Thomas mark on face of clock. This clock is from the 1960s.History on Seth Thomas company-Seth Thomas company began producing clocks under the Thomas name in 1813 and was incorporated as the "Seth Thomas Clock Company" in 1853. His company has done beautiful clocks including the clock at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. They manufactured long case clocks as well as mantle, wall, and table-top clocks during this period.
