This is a vintage Shaker Style Child\'s Rocking Chair with aCane Bottom andLadder Back. The enamel black painted frame has just some slight wear that could be touched up if so desired. The cane bottom seat is professionally woven, but does have one strand near the right hand edge this is fractured, hardly noticeable, but must be mentioned. The stenciled design gives ita nice touch and dresses it upwhile bringing thetan color of the cane seat together with the floral pattern.The straight lines and simple style suggest a Shaker style, but the exact origin and era is unknown. This rocker looks to be hand crafted and possibly repaired on the right front leg, where there is a small gap between the rocker and the leg, though it does feel solid and well made.The chairis 29 inches tall and 17 inches wide in the front, just right for a child of between 3 to 8 years of age.
