Up for sale is a vintage hand carved wood statue carving recently found at sale in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area. It is found in good used condition. Condition issues include several small chips on the hat, which are best shown in photo #7. Nice natural patina, but scratches throughout as well. Carved out a single piece of a soft wood, probably pine. The piece is signed on the base. Very stylizedsignature, quite difficult to make out. Sits on an almost square base, which measures approximately 3 1/8\" x 2 3/4\". Overall, it measures approximately 9 3/4\" tall. Very nice attention to detail. Carver is quite skilled. Simplistic in execution. Expressive with detail to coat and face. Wish I could make out the name. Please see the other fine antiques and collectibles we offer for sale or in sale.
