Composition: Solid Sterling Silver or better, confirmed via acid test by us; Turquoise, light blue with brown matrix on the upper left of stone
Marks: None -- However, traces of \"pin pricked\" lines can be seen under loupe (meaning it is possible the piece was originally signed and that the signature has worn away)

Measurements: Extra Large - Cross measures a large 3 Inches + tall *By* 2.25 Inches wide *By* 1/8 Inch deep -

Features: Solid sterling silver (or better) composition paired with the typically heavy-duty sand cast construction makes this piece very, very sturdy; This is an older Indian handmade piece & sturdy enough to last generations more; The bail is attached and inflexible, as well, and the single turquoise cabochon is safely enclosed in a saw-toothed bezel.
Stone: Turquoise - The turquoise itself is robin\'s egg blue with the upper left hand corner showing a brown matrix.
Condition: Very good, vintage, estate condition; Normal wear per age including many shallow scratches and dings, plus a few deeper scratches on reverse - see photos. This is estate jewelry and is also handmade out of solid silver, so this kind of wear is normal. A light to medium patina is present. The stone has natural grey-brown matrix in its upper left corner.
*Please request additional polishing/buffing if desired, otherwise we will leave the patina undisturbed.*
Age: Vintage, 1960\'s-1980\'s, possibly older
*Hint* This solid silver cross has been done in an attractive \" squash blossom \" design with the ends of the beams of the crosses terminating in squash flowers. The cast the artisan used (often passed down generation to generation) created a pod-like bead pattern which is very unique and handsome.
Signed?: Unsigned, though there are some tell-tale \"pin prick\" lines on the reverse of the piece which lead us to believe it may have been signed at one point and the maker\'s mark has now mostly worn off. Sand cast. Older vintage - we have stated 1970, but may be as early as the late 40\'s . . .

This extra-large piece is very \"Southwestern USA.\" Between the \"blossoming\" termination of the cross beams to the fact it has all been made of a single piece of silver and sand-cast in the Navajo tradition (excluding the bail which has been separately soldered on) we find this to be vintage Indian jewelry. Additionally, per our source, the owners bought this over 25 years ago in a New Mexico \"pawn store\" or \"souvenir shop.\"
This gorgeous piece is just as austere, sprawling and beautiful as the American Southwest itself. Heirloom-worthy.
