Offered is a vintage Steiff hard stuffed, mohair w/glass eyesMonkey/Chimp. We believe it was made in the early 1950\'s based upon its open mouth and bent knee and ankle design. It was carefully handled and shows little signs of its age with its complete markings on face, hands and feet--a wonderful collectors specimen of this model. Unfortunately back in the 50-60\'s people were often in the habit of removing tags and buttons, especiallyif children might play with them. The brad style button fastener made it easy to remove--but fortunately the ear tended to stay intact(two photos show this).
