This very nice Steinbach (piano player) Nutcracker with a Reuge (Swiss movement) piano was hand-made in West Germany. It hasn\'t been called West Germany since the reunification on October 3rd,1990-now it is only \"Germany\". That means this beautiful piece is 25 years old. It stands 11 1/2 inches tall.
The Reuge piano Plays Tristesse Opus 10 No 3 by Chopin and the little songbook on the pianosays \"EDITION SCHOTT\" near the top of the page then\" Etude E-dur/Mi majeur/E-major\". Near the bottom is;\" Herausgegeben Von Emil Sauer\" and on the bottom of the page is;\" EINZEL AUSGABE\". Also, there is a candle holder attached to the top of the Piano. This piano/music box plays very well.
Condition is very good-there are a couple of small scuffs (wear, not damage)on the edge of the wooden stand (no damage wasfound) The original box is not present but I canassure excellent packing (as always). The head and torso lift off and the piano legs are removablefor ease in packing.
I think this one is rare simply because Ihaven\'t seen manylike it.
