VintageSterling Silver 950
Beverage Shaker Jigger Decanter
Vintage Sterling Silver 950Beverage Shaker/Jigger Decanter / Flask, obtained in an Estate Sale. This family was stationed overseas in the early to mid 1900's, Japan, Germany and Europe.16 ounces. I only have a small postage scale and not a digital one, so the weight is approximate (could fluctuate by approximately 1/2 ounce overall). If you need a "firm" digital weight, please know that I do not have that ability, and I would understand if you are unable to offer.
This decanter is NOT in mint condition, thereforelisted as scrap (or not). There is a dent in the top jigger part. It separates into 3 parts and the remaining parts are in good condition, minor scratching andno visible dents. It definitely needs a good cleaning to expose the "shine".
Shipping is $12.35 for Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate, and I will also include insurance.
Please contact me if you have any questions, and I will do my best to answer. I am not a professional or appraiser, so I cannot tell much about the history and value, other than what I can find on the internet. On Jun-22-13 at 17:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information:
The 16 ounces refers to the weight of the Sterling Silver (not the ounces in the cup - I haven't measured the quantity of liquid it holds). The decanter is just under 11 inches tall, and weighs 16 ounces. The red line on the scale indicates the weight - it is hard to see because it lines up with the "1" lb mark on the scale. On Jun-22-13 at 18:00:34 PDT, seller added the following information:
The circumference at the widest part is 12 inches; at the lowest point (bottom) it measures 8 3/4 inches around.
If measured flat across with a yardstick it is about 4 inches across.
Hope this helps.
